There is almost nothing i like more than watching the trailers at a movie theater. They are often so well done, and they give you a sense of the setting and the atmosphere of the film.
I went to YouTube to see if there was a trailer of the production that we will see when the Metropolitan Opera does its simulcast of La Cenerentola on May 10th. I didn’t find one. But I will keep trying.
What I did find, however, was more exciting. There are quite a few trailers. These will give us a sense of how different interpretations and settings can create a very different operatic experience even if the opera is the same. So, I will be posting as many trailers of La Cenerentola as I can find!
This trailer is from the Wiener Staatsoper. It is completely different — and very intriguing.
